Questions Clients Often Ask Me

Unsure about PTSD or therapy? Here are common questions I hear from adults like yourself who are starting trauma therapy.

How do I know if I have PTSD?

If you feel persistently on edge, avoid certain memories or situations, struggle with sleep, or feel disconnected from yourself, it may be worth exploring. You can schedule a free consultation with me to get clarity on whether PTSD therapy in Denver is the right next step for you.

How long does trauma therapy in Denver take?

It depends on your history and goals. Some clients notice shifts within weeks, while others engage in longer-term trauma counseling in Denver, CO.

Is EMDR effective for trauma?

Yes. EMDR is an evidence-based approach widely used for trauma therapy in Denver, CO, to help process and reduce PTSD symptoms.

Will therapy help even if I seem high-functioning?

Absolutely. Even adults who look capable can struggle with internal stress, anxiety, or disconnection. My trauma counseling in Denver can help you feel steadier.

How do I choose the right trauma therapist in Denver?

Look for someone experienced with PTSD and trauma-informed therapy. I focus on EMDR, CBT, and somatic approaches in my Denver practice.

Can I benefit from trauma counseling if I’m not sure about therapy yet?

Yes. A Denver trauma counselor can guide you gently, offering tools and support before fully committing to ongoing PTSD therapy.
